A speaker one sheet is the single page an event organizer reads before deciding whether to book you. It shows who you are, the talks you give, where you have spoken, what past organizers said and how to book you. Keynote speakers, coaches, authors, founders and experts send one with every pitch to a conference, podcast or company event. Below are the seven parts organizers look for, a free speaker one sheet template you can copy and two examples.

What is a speaker one sheet?
A speaker one sheet (also called a speaker sheet or speaker kit) is a one-page summary of you as a speaker. Organizers use it to shortlist, to pitch you to their committee and to write your program listing. It is shorter than a speaker reel or a full press kit, and it is usually the first thing they see.
Organizers book the speaker who makes saying yes easy. A good one sheet answers every question they would otherwise email you about.
The 7 parts of a speaker one sheet
- Your name and what you speak about, in one line. "Dana Reyes: Speaker. Operations, leadership and running lean."
- A short bio: background, what you are known for, where you are based.
- Your talks: two or three titles, each with a one-line promise.
- Where you have spoken: four events or organizations.
- What organizers say: one quote with a name and a role.
- Formats: keynote length, workshop, panel or fireside chat.
- Booking: email, formats and where you travel.
Add a photo if you have a good one. Organizers need one for the program anyway.

1. Speaker one sheet for a keynote speaker
Edit this template
An expert's speaker one sheet: three talks, proof from past events and everything needed to book.
What to copy:
- Talks as three numbered boxes, each with a title and a promise: "The 6-week cost review. Finding 10% without layoffs." An organizer can pick one for their audience in seconds.
- The speaker and her firm side by side: background, topics and base on one side; founded, clients and known for on the other. It proves the talks come from real work.
- One quote from an organizer, not an attendee: "The most practical keynote we've booked." Organizers trust other organizers.

2. Founder bio for press and podcasts
Edit this template
A founder's bio for podcast hosts, journalists and investors, with the story as a timeline.
What to copy:
- "In short" as one sentence: "Former math teacher who built a tutoring business from one classroom to 120 tutors in four years." A host can read it out as your introduction.
- The story as five dates, each with a number: 1,200 students, 40 tutors, 1,800 families.
- Known for, as four topics. Podcast hosts book guests by topic, so name yours.

Speaker one sheet mistakes
- A long bio and no talk titles. Organizers book a talk, not a résumé.
- Talk titles that are clever but unclear. Add a line that says what the audience gets.
- No booking details. Put an email at the bottom, every time.
- Quotes from friends. One line from a real organizer is worth five from anyone else.

Frequently asked questions
What should a speaker one sheet include?
Your name and topics, a short bio, two or three talks with titles and promises, where you have spoken, one quote from an organizer, the formats you offer and how to book you.
How long should a speaker one sheet be?
One page. It is a first look. Longer details such as fees, tech needs and long bios go in a speaker kit sent after the organizer is interested.
Should I put my speaking fee on my one sheet?
Most speakers leave the fee off and share it when asked, because fees vary by event size and travel. If you only speak at one fee, putting it on saves time.
What is the difference between a speaker one sheet and a media kit?
A speaker one sheet sells you to event organizers. A media kit sells your audience to advertisers. Our media kit template covers that one.
