The best sales plan template depends on what the plan is for. If you need to show a boss, a new hire or the whole team the targets and the plan on one page, use a one-page template like the free strategic and 30-60-90 day sales plans from MakeOnepagers. If you are writing the full plan for the first time and want every section laid out for you, start with HubSpot's free sales plan template. If you want a designed action plan to present, look at Venngage or Visme.

How we judged them
A sales plan is read most by the people who have to hit the number. A rep should be able to look at it and know their target, their territory and what to do this week. So we looked at:
- Whether the target is the first thing you see, or buried on page six.
- What sections the template already holds.
- What it costs to edit and download.
- What it takes to get it: an open page, an account, or a form.
1. MakeOnepagers: best when the plan has to fit on one page
Every template on MakeOnepagers is one page, so a sales plan made there leads with the targets and leaves out the filler. There is one for each moment a sales plan gets written:
- Strategic Sales Plan: the year's sales targets, markets and how the team gets there.
- 30-60-90 Day Sales Plan: what a new sales manager will do in the first 90 days, phase by phase. Useful in an interview as much as on day one.
- Sales Pipeline Review: where every deal stands and what will close.
- Regional Sales Team Sheet: each rep's region, targets and results by month.
- Sales Tracking Sheet: leads, quotes and orders for the quarter, product by product.
- Sales Team Fact Sheet: the team's targets, results and who sells what.
If your sales plan already exists as a long document or a deck, the free AI One-Pager generator reads a PDF, Word or PowerPoint file of up to 10 pages, with no account, and turns it into one designed page.
- Free start: every template above opens free to edit. Making new One-Pagers from your own files starts with a 7-day trial that includes 3.
- Skip it if: you need the full working plan with every account listed. MakeOnepagers gives you the page everyone reads, not the spreadsheet behind it.
2. HubSpot: best free template for the full written plan
HubSpot's sales plan template, made with Aircall, lays out ten sections: company history and mission, team structure, target market, tools and software, positioning, marketing strategy, prospecting strategy, action plan, goals and budget. If nobody has handed you a structure, that list is a good one.
- Cost: free. HubSpot's page answers "Is this really free?" with "Absolutely".
- The catch: you enter your company's details in a form before you can download it.
- Skip it if: you need to present the plan. Ten sections is a document to work from, not a page to show.
3. Venngage: best for a designed sales action plan
Venngage's sales plan templates are mostly sales action plans, laid out with icons, color blocks and space for photos. Each one is labelled Free, Premium or Business on the page, so you can tell what needs a paid plan before you open it.
- Cost: a free plan with 5 designs. Premium was $10 a month billed yearly on 1 October 2026.
- Skip it if: your plan is mostly numbers. The layouts give a lot of room to pictures.
4. Visme: best for a large gallery of plans
Visme's plan templates page showed 401 plan templates when we read it, with sales plans among business, marketing and project plans. You edit them in Visme's online editor and can add live charts.
- Cost: a free Basic plan. Paid plans started at $12.25 a month billed yearly on 1 October 2026.
- Skip it if: you want a template made only for sales. You will be filtering a general plans gallery.
What every good sales plan template includes
Check the template has a place for each of these before you fill it in:
- The target, as revenue or deals, with a date.
- Who you sell to, by market, region or account size.
- Who owns what: each rep or team and their number.
- The actions, by month or by quarter, that get you there.
- The pipeline today, so the plan starts from what is real.
- How progress is tracked, and how often it is reviewed.
A plan with no target and no owner is a wish list.
Which sales plan do you need?
- Starting a new sales job, or interviewing for one: a 30-60-90 day plan.
- Setting the year for a team: a strategic sales plan.
- Running the weekly or monthly review: a pipeline review.
- Selling a product to a buyer rather than planning the team's year: that is a sales One-Pager or a sell sheet, not a sales plan.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best free sales plan template?
For a full written plan with every section, HubSpot's template is free after a sign-up form. For a one-page plan with the targets up front, the Strategic Sales Plan on MakeOnepagers is free to edit with no form.
What should a 30-60-90 day sales plan include?
What you will learn in the first 30 days, what you will start doing by day 60 and what results you will own by day 90, with one or two measures for each phase. The 30-60-90 Day Sales Plan template is laid out that way.
Can a sales plan fit on one page?
The part everyone reads can: the target, the markets, the owners and the actions. The account lists and the detailed forecast live in your CRM or a spreadsheet behind it.
What is the difference between a sales plan and a sales action plan?
A sales plan sets the target and the strategy for a period, usually a year. A sales action plan lists the specific steps, owners and dates that deliver it. Many teams put both on one page.
