What August Taught Us
Do
Hold a second carrier on standby in every region
Staff the night shift before peak, not during it
Don't
Route around a failing hub and call it recovered
Read a monthly average when the damage was three weeks
Q4 Commitments
East hub staffing to full46%
Second carrier contracted80%
Cost per parcel below $4.0062%
Decision Needed This Week
Approve the second East-hub night shift. Without it the region misses Q4 on-time targets again, and the carrier penalty alone exceeds the cost of the shift.
