Advent: Four Sundays

29 November to 20 December · Trinity Road Church

The Four Sundays

29 Nov

Hope · Isaiah 9:2 to 7

A people walking in darkness, and a promise made 700 years before anybody could check it.

6 Dec

Peace · Micah 5:2 to 5

The smallest town in Judah. Peace arrives from the place nobody was watching.

13 Dec

Joy · Luke 1:46 to 55

Why This Order

Three of the four are Old Testament, on purpose. Advent is about waiting, and a series that reaches the manger in week one has nothing left to wait for.

The fourth week is the only one that is not a promise. That contrast is the series.
